MY CAGE_MY PLACE
Through the use of light and reflection within my constructed place, I attempt to question the human desire for simplicity.
Taking the utopian impulse to create harmony through art and design, ‘My Cage My Place’ utilises simple architectural forms to construct a non-place. Considering our limited human ability to process the complexity of our environment, this is a place made simple and sterile.
This installation was launched at my Fine Art Degree show in 2019 and was selected foe the Falmouth Fine Art group exhibition in London at the Assembly Gallery in Peckham.
